The 2026 Geneva Championships finals: a great tennis celebration at TCCB

On Sunday 6 September, Tennis Club de Collonge-Bellerive had the honour of hosting the finals day of the 2026 Geneva Championships, organised by the Association Régionale Genève Tennis.

In a magnificent setting and under generous sunshine, 15 finals followed one another throughout the day. Elite, seniors and wheelchair/para tennis categories came together to offer the public a particularly rich programme, mixing sporting quality, suspense, emotion and conviviality.

Fifteen Geneva champions crowned

At the end of this fine day, fifteen Geneva champion titles were awarded.

In the seniors categories, the titles went to:

• Marc-Antoine La Torre, in MS35+; • André Von Bûren, in MS45+; • Matthias Schneider, in MS55+; • Ouafae Salih, in WS40+; • Sandra Helbling, in WS50+.

In the elite categories, the new champions are:

• Loris Biondina, in MS R1/R3; • Mathieu Stettler, in MS R4/R6; • George Popescu, in MS R7/R9; • Miyu Kozuki, in WS R1/R3; • Lara Ashenden, in WS R4/R6; • Nina Berdoz, in WS R7/R9.

The tension around the courts, notably during the super tie-break of the men’s R1-R3 final, perfectly illustrated what this day represents: a true concentrate of passion, bringing the whole Geneva tennis community together around the game.

Wheelchair and para tennis at the heart of this edition

A major novelty of the 2026 Geneva Championships, several wheelchair and para tennis draws were integrated into the competition: wheelchair tennis as well as singles and doubles events for athletes with an intellectual disability.

The titles were won by:

• Romain Dumont, in the unified doubles – intellectual disability draw; • Yoamim Etienne, in the singles – intellectual disability draw; • Angélique Pirollet, in the women’s wheelchair tennis draw; • Alirezah Kabirlaleh, in the men’s wheelchair tennis draw.

These matches offered the public wonderful sporting moments and stirred some very fine emotions. They fully found their place in this great day and recalled that tennis is a sport of passion, self-surpassing and sharing, open to everyone.

TCCB sends its warmest congratulations to the fifteen Geneva champions, and to all the players who took part in the many draws of this edition.

The magnificent aperitif shared to close the event extended this warm and festive atmosphere.

This day will remain a landmark moment of the 2026 season and a magnificent illustration of TCCB’s values: conviviality, ambition, transmission and commitment.

Because tennis brings people together, inspires and is shared with everyone.
