How the club began

Tennis Club Collonge-Bellerive was founded in the mid-1970s by enthusiasts who wanted a welcoming place to play by the lake. Over the years the club grew: new courts, a tennis school, padel, and a strong community life. Today the same spirit of sharing the game and passing it on to the next generation still drives TCCB.

Over the years, TCCB has become far more than sports facilities alone. Tournaments, interclub matches, events, junior camps and friendly gatherings now shape life at the club all year round. Thanks to steady upgrades to its facilities and the growth of its tennis school, TCCB welcomes both recreational players and competitors of every age today.

Anniversary programme 2026

On Saturday 19 September 2026, TCCB invites you to a full day in blue and white: let’s celebrate fifty years of passion, friendships and sport.

The daytime programme and evening celebration both take place at the club — with family or friends, in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Expect convivial moments, activities, games for all ages, and the chance to hit the courts for tennis or padel — always in the good-natured spirit that defines us.

In the evening, the indoor hall for covered courts 7 and 8 will be transformed for the occasion into a reception space for dinner, toasts and the rest of the party with members, alumni, neighbours and friends.

Along with a few surprises we are keeping under wraps, good food, drinks and laughter are on the menu. Come in great numbers — the more the merrier, and you won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime club milestone.

When a champion visits the club

Throughout its history, TCCB has had the opportunity to cross paths with major figures in international tennis. Among these memorable moments, the club was honoured to welcome American champion Venus Williams during her visit to Switzerland. This visit remains a cherished memory for members, young players and all the tennis enthusiasts who were present that day.

Beyond the sporting dimension, this event also reflected TCCB's standing and appeal over the years. The presence of a player with an exceptional record made it possible to share a special moment around the values of tennis, in an atmosphere that was convivial, inspiring and focused on passing the passion on to new generations.
